Matilda Soft Leaf Buffalo

This type of roll on a lawn is soft to the touch and hypoallergenic. It is best used in warm climates and can handle both direct sunlight and shade very well. A semi-dwarf soft leaf buffalo, this grass has a moderate growth rate, so it requires very little maintenance (which means you enjoy more of your free time). Matilda Soft Leaf Buffalo also has the benefit of strong pest and disease resistance while also maintaining its colour year-round. Wintergreen Couch is incredibly low maintenance and is very dense, making it very soft to walk on. It can handle light shade while also remaining a luxurious green colour. How much does new turf cost?

Roll on grass costs between $6.50 to $12 per m2. Keep in mind, this is for the turf itself only. When factoring in installation costs, you can expect to pay between $18 to $34 per m2.

You’ll also need to factor in your turf variety when establishing your budget. As an example, a 50 m2 area of basic Kikuyu can set you back $350 while the same size area of Matilda Soft Leaf Buffalo can be closer to $700.

Finally, consider the ongoing costs associated with your turf choice. A Kikuyu lawn will require weekly mowing during summer, whereas a Wintergreen Couch Turf requires mowing every two weeks. The cost of your maintenance tools, petrol, and of your time, can add up, so it’s a good idea to look at the bigger picture when setting your turf supply budget.

Yes. All varieties ordered are freshly cut. You can pick up your new turf directly from our turf farm or request a delivery. We have a forklift available 7 days a week and also a laying service team that is highly trained and insured to ensure your new lawn is ready to go with minimal fuss.
